Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil is a leading educationist and a prominent business leader. He is the President of the Ajeenkya DY Patil University and Chairman of Ajeenkya DY Patil Group. He is the Honorary Consul General of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana in India.

His tireless entrepreneurial spirit has led him to found and lead many companies in different sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Technology, Infrastructure and Hospitality. Dr Patil has transformed communities through job creation, social and environmental long-term added value.

He has a proven track record of success across a broad range of  experiences in business; deep expertise in engineering and technology, extensive knowledge of infrastructure creation, and experience in international affairs.

With the strength of his philosophy of “people first” and the legacy inherited from his father, he brings a humane dimension to the essentials of managing a large business. He has been invited to speak in eminent business forums and elite events across the world. In recent years, he has been diligently working towards expanding the footprints of his business into many new fields within India, the middle east and Europe.

For his tremendous achievements, he has been honoured with prestigious social and business awards. His illustrious list of achievements includes being appointed as Chairman, Central Board for Workers Education (CBWE) by Ministry of Labour, Government of India. The Hon. President of Guyana appointed him to be the Economic Adviser. During July 2007 and April 2010, he was nominated as Chancellor’s nominee on the Management Council of University of Mumbai.

Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil has a Master’s in Business Administration from Richmond College, UK. He has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom, for his outstanding achievements in the fields of education, healthcare and social services.
